NRL NT Pathways Coordinator Duncan MacGillivray said “The 2026 Territory Junior Championships were a fantastic showcase of the talent, passion, and resilience coming through our game. It was inspiring to see athletes not only competing strongly, but also embracing the opportunity to learn, connect, and grow.
Programs like RISE with the support of the Dolphins continue to play a vital role in supporting that journey, providing clear and meaningful pathways for our young players to develop both on and off the field. Equally important is the tireless commitment of our volunteer coaches, medical staff, and team managers. Their dedication, guidance, and care make these championships possible and are essential in nurturing our young athletes. We are truly grateful for their contribution.
With this combined effort, the future of rugby league in the Territory is incredibly bright, and it’s exciting to see the next generation stepping forward with such confidence and intent.”
The Championships also serve as a selection platform for the NT Titans representative program, with standout players progressing into further development opportunities and national pathways.
With continued support from the Northern Territory Government and key partners such as the Dolphins, NRL NT remains committed to creating inclusive, high-quality opportunities for young Territorians to engage in rugby league and pursue their potential.
