NRLW Combine Camp Identification Opportunity
Darwin City vs Southern Heat to Showcase NT Pathway Talent

NRL NT is pleased to announce the upcoming Senior Women’s Darwin City vs Southern Heat, to be held on Saturday 6 June at Territory Rugby League Stadium, creating another exciting opportunity for Northern Territory athletes to progress along the Rugby League pathway.
The match will bring together senior female players from across the Territory in a high-quality representative fixture while also acting as an important identification opportunity for the NT RISE Rookie Program and potential selection opportunities connected to the NRLW Combine Camp in Wagga Wagga, NSW, from 30 July to 2 August 2026.
The Combine Camp provides aspiring players with an opportunity to experience an elite performance environment and further showcase their ability in front of Rugby League talent and recruitment personnel.
Selected athletes will have the opportunity to:
- Train and compete within a high-performance environment
- Undertake physical and skill-based testing
- Showcase their capabilities in front of NRLW scouts and recruitment staff
- Continue progressing through Rugby League development pathways
NRL NT Pathways and Participation staff continue to focus on strengthening female Rugby League opportunities across the Northern Territory, ensuring local players can access clear development pathways while remaining connected to community Rugby League.
The Senior Women’s City vs Country fixture forms part of ongoing efforts to identify and support emerging talent through initiatives such as the RISE Rookie Program, helping Territory athletes pursue higher representative honours.
This will also be the first time senior women have been given the opportunity to represent their region like we have seen at junior level seen below at the annual Territory Junior Championships.
