Rugby League and Touch Football are coming to the Livingstone Recreation Reserve giving local families from Adelaide River, Batchelor, Berry Springs, and the Cox Peninsula a brand-new opportunity to play, connect, and belong.
As part of NRL NT’s continued investment in community growth, plans are underway to establish a new junior Rugby League and Touch Football club based at the Livingstone Recreation Reserve. This initiative will focus on providing a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for boys and girls to learn new skills, make friends, and enjoy sport closer to home.
To help bring this vision to life, NRL NT and Touch Football NT invite the community to attend the following:
COME & TRY FAMILY ENGAGEMENT & EOI FORUM
📅 Friday, 7th November
🕠 5:30pm – 6:30pm
📍 Livingstone Recreation Reserve
Join us for a family-friendly evening of kids’ activities, games, and skill sessions with NRL NT and TFA NT Game Development staff.
The event will also include information sharing about the new club, opportunities to register your interest, and a community dinner to connect with other local families and Livingstone Recreation Reserve members.
**Please note Dinner is at each individuals own cost.
WORKING GROUP MEETING
📅 Wednesday, 19th November
🕕 6:30pm
📍 Livingstone Recreation Reserve
All community members interested in helping shape the new club are encouraged to attend this session.
This meeting will focus on forming a working group of 6–10 members to lead both the short- and long-term objectives for the Livingstone-based Rugby League and Touch Football club.
Community Activation & Awareness
In the lead-up to these events, NRL NT will continue to engage with local schools and raise awareness through digital channels and local media. Supported by NRL NT’s strong media partnerships across the Northern Territory, this initiative aims to inspire community pride and create new sporting pathways for young players and families in the rural region.
