NT Titans Under 16 Boys Development Squad
Our core focus of the trip is to develop a better educated and inspired player
We started our process of developing a futures squad who will participate in next years 17’s Combined Affiliated States Championships, by identifying 30 players selected during this years NRL NT Under16’s Club Challenge held in March. This program comes off the back of a successful trip in 2022, when we took our 17’s Girls on a similar experience.
Along with a mentor, 17’s Head Coach and 2 support staff, a final team of 20 will travel to Townsville from the 4th to the 7th of August, playing games against the Townsville Schools Invitational team and Kirwan High School. Around these fixtures the NT Titans will also participate in training sessions with the NQ Cowboys Coaching staff, and the Townsville Blackhawks junior Development Programs.
Our core focus of the trip is to develop a better educated and inspired player, who will experience the game on and off the field in more elite environments. This consequently will create a better prepared team leading into the 17’s Combined Affiliated States & Territory Championships in 2024.
We are also excited to confirm the squad will enjoy a memorable experience attending the NRL Blockbuster between the North Queensland Cowboys and Brisbane Broncos as part of this tour.
