Women In League - Kate McTaggart

Tony Crowe • May 10, 2025

We believe every young girl should know that there’s a role for them in Rugby League.

.Celebrating Women In League Round

A special shout-out to Kate McTaggart, who recently completed her 16+ Community Referee Accreditation. Kate consistently travels from Katherine to Darwin (over 3 hours each way) with the support of her mum to officiate matches. In addition to refereeing, she mentors junior match officials and plays an active role in supporting the Katherine Rugby League Club and the local junior match officials.

Her dedication is a true inspiration and a fantastic example of leadership in our community.
